Former Texas A&M quarterback commit Tate Martell released his first top five list since reopening his recruitment last month, and the Aggies were nowhere in sight. In fact, not one SEC school made Martell’s list.
Ohio State, California, Southern California, UCLA and Colorado were all featured on the five-star recruit’s list. Martell released his list on Twitter on Sunday morning.
The No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2017 de-committed from A&M last month after being committed since August 2015. Martell’s decision was just the first in a disastrous span of losses on the recruiting trail for Texas A&M, during which wide receivers coach Aaron Moorehead went on a Twitter rant criticizing recruits for their lack of loyalty.
Judging Martell’s newest list of suitors, it appears the talented prospect is most interested in staying close to his native Las Vegas. And that means Martell could be done with A&M and the SEC for good.
