Former Texas A&M quarterback Kyler Murray has decided to transfer to Oklahoma. Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman first reported the news and it was confirmed by Oklahoma on Thursday.

“We’re very happy to welcome Kyler to our program and we look forward to working with him,” said Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops.
Murray, a former 5-star recruit from Allen, Texas, started three games for the Aggies as a true freshman. The dual-threat quarterback threw for 686 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 335 yards and a touchdown.
Murray battled and lost competition to sophomore quarterback Kyle Allen during the summer competition, but ultimately got his shot at the full-time job on Oct. 31 against South Carolina. Murray went 2-1 in his three starts before coach Kevin Sumlin turned the job back to Allen.
Both quarterbacks transferred out of the program earlier this month.
