Going undrafted this spring isn’t stopping Alex Caruso from playing in the NBA this winter.
Caruso, a former standout at Texas A&M, announced on Twitter late Thursday night that he signed a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

During his time with the Aggies, Caruso became the program’s all-time assists and steals leader. However, he went undrafted before spending time with the Philadelphia 76ers during the Las Vegas summer league.
That didn’t pan out, but Caruso now has a new team. He will join the Thunder for training camp, which begins Saturday.
Caruso isn’t the only Texas A&M rookie to sign a free-agent deal this offseason. Danuel House signed with the Washington Wizards and Jalen Jones signed with the Boston Celtics.
