It was announced on Thursday that sophomore linebacker Richard Moore will transfer from Texas A&M to Southern Methodist University, according to Pony Stampede.
Moore, who started eight games in his first two seasons for the Aggies, recorded 68 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in his Texas A&M career.
Moore is from Cedar Hill, Texas and will return to the Dallas area to resume his career. . Moore was a three-star recruit coming out of Cedar Hill High School. He announced his intention to transfer on Twitter on May 6.

He will sit out the 2017 season before joining the Mustangs on the field for the 2018 season, and will have two years of eligibility remaining. His speed and versatility will be a welcome addition to a SMU defense that ranked 106th (out of 128) in opponents yards per game in 2016.
