One of the top players from the nation’s capital will be playing in College Station, Texas next season.
Four-star wide receiver and outside linebacker Aaron Hansford announced he has officially committed to Texas A&M. He is rated as the No. 143 player in the nation, the No. 12 outside linebacker and the second-best player in Washington D.C.

Hansford’s decision came down to Texas A&M and UCLA. He made an official visit to Texas A&M’s campus in late January a week after taking an official trip to Los Angeles, according to 247Sports.com. Both Kevin Sumlin and Jim Mora paid visits to Hansford during the final stages of the process.
Hansford was a versatile athlete at St. John’s College High School and played both sides of the ball in high school. A report from Scout.com’s Brian Dohn suggests that Hansford could focus on the offensive side of the ball in College Station. He would join a talented wide receiver corps that features Christian Kirk, Ricky Seals-Jones and Josh Reynolds.
