Dateless plaques appear to be all the rage in College Station.
You might have heard that Texas A&M chancellor John Sharp awarded new Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher a dateless national title plaque. The execution of the idea was as corny as it sounds. Consequently, some on Twitter roasted Sharp, Fisher and Texas A&M for the whole episode.
Turns out, the College Station Police Department also had fun.
Check out the plaque below shared Wednesday by the College Station Police Department via Twitter. Apparently, it will be awarded when “everyone locks their car doors” and 60 percent of “all car burglaries” are prevented in the town.
We’re all for protecting property, so here’s hoping the College Station Police Department can award this plaque one day. Any bets on which dateless plaque will be filled out first: the one above or Fisher’s?
We kid, Aggies fans. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for more dateless plaques popping up near Texas A&M during the Fisher era. There seem to be no limits to the imagination when it comes to this topic.
