New Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher made national headlines for his record-breaking contract with the Aggies. But years from now, when we all look back on his move from Florida State to College Station, the details of that contract will be faded memories.
The thing we’ll always remember? Christmas tree drama.
Prior to his official departure from Florida State, Fisher became an internet legend for leaving his Christmas tree discarded on the curb near his Tallahassee home.

What did it mean? Was it his signal to the world that he was packing up his things and moving? Minds raced at the possibilities.
Dan Patrick was there to get the real scoop for those of us who demanded answers. During an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday, Fisher faced the “hard-hitting question” and delivered an answer that may have surprised some.
“I had no idea,” Fisher explained. “The guys who came to put up my Christmas tree that week said ‘Coach, it’s broke. It was broke, so I put a new one up.’ And he said they’d get rid of the other one, so they set it on the curb for it to be picked up. That’s what it was. There was a new Christmas tree in my house. It’s still in my house. I didn’t throw it out. I was actually at work. There’s a group that comes in a puts the lights across the house and everything because I’m never there.”

Poor Jimbo. Not only did he get accused of dumping his Christmas tree to upset Florida State fans, but we now learn that he’s too busy to enjoy his own holiday decorations.
