Johnny Manziel’s recent release from the Cleveland Browns, and an avalanche of criticism, hasn’t kept him away from Las Vegas. Celebrity chef Mario Batali happened across the former Texas A&M quarterback at TAO Nightclub on Saturday night.
Batali is a co-owner of four restaurants in Las Vegas and is a television personality featured on several shows, including Food Network’s Iron Chef America. Earlier on Saturday night Batali criticized the group with Manziel, but changed his mind and later called the quarterback and his friends “pretty pretty cool.”
In July 2014, a few months after Manziel was drafted by the Browns, Batali said he was a fan of the young quarterback.
Yep! Go Browns !

Manziel spent a portion of 2015 in rehab, but was released by the Browns earlier in March after a series of off-field incidents, including reportedly visiting Las Vegas in a disguise instead of fulfilling his obligations under the NFL’s concussion protocol.
