Former Texas A&M quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel vowed to return to the NFL and said his preferred destination is the Dallas Cowboys, he said in a video published by TMZ Sports.
Manziel, who is seen leaving a club in West Hollywood on Friday night, also expresses support for former Cleveland Browns teammate Josh Gordon, who was reinstated earlier this week from an indefinite NFL suspension for substance abuse. Gordon still will miss the first four games of 2016.
Manziel has been previously linked to the Cowboys because owner Jerry Jones had considered taking the quarterback in the 2014 NFL Draft. If Manziel signs with an NFL team, he faces a four-game suspension upon his return.
Manziel was released by the Browns in March.
