Entering the week a perfect 3-0, Texas A&M will no doubt be favored over SEC West rival Arkansas next week, which just suffered its second consecutive defeat on Saturday in falling to Texas Tech, 35-24.
Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury, who was bothered by comments Arkansas coach Bret Bielema made about Texas high schools last summer, offered up his own prediction for how Texas A&M will fare in its upcoming SEC opener.
“(Bielema) just got his ass kicked twice in a row, and probably next week by (Texas) A&M, as well,” Kingsbury said in his postgame press conference.
That’s quite the vote of confidence. Then again, perhaps Kingsbury, who served as the Texas A&M offensive coordinator under Kevin Sumlin in 2012, is simply advocating for his old boss.
