A lake house owned by the grandfather of former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel was destroyed by a fire early Wednesday morning, according to WKYC.com in Cleveland.
The house was located in Whitehouse, Texas, and by the time fire department responded the house was completely overwhelmed by the fire.
Nobody was inside of the home during the fire, according to officials.
Smith County Fire Marshal Jay Brooks told WKYC.com that the fire was “suspicious in nature” and a thorough investigation is already underway. That will include the State Fire Marshals Office and arson canines.
