Texas A&M players are offering a hat tip to the military.
On Saturday afternoon, the Aggies’ equipment staff tweeted a photo of special shirts that Aggies players will wear to serve as a “salute to service” during Military Appreciation Day at Kyle Field. Texas A&M is hosting Ole Miss on Saturday night in an intriguing SEC West matchup.

Looks good, right?
The design is appropriate, given that Texas A&M’s colors are maroon and white. There’s no mistake about the message as well.
It’s great to see SEC schools honoring the military Saturday. Earlier in the day, Florida players wore special helmet decals during the Gators’ victory over South Carolina at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Florida’s marching band also honored the military with a performance on the field.
Friday was Veterans Day, so it’s not a surprise to see schools plan events Saturday to honor those who served. It’s a kind gesture, and it’s a practice that should become commonplace throughout the country.
