The Fort Worth Police Department released a statement regarding the most recent incident surrounding former Texas A&M and current Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel and his ex-girlfriend.
The statement explained the details of a distress call made by Manziel’s ex-girlfriend that said she had been involved in a possible domestic assault. The report mentioned that the complainant was uncooperative with officers and that a crime scene wasn’t located within the officer’s’ jurisdiction.
Manziel’s ex-girlfriend also alerted officers that she felt Manziel’s well-being was in jeopardy, which promoted the Fort Worth Police Department to search for Manziel on foot and using a helicopter. The officers later determined that Manziel was safe.
Police were called to the scene on at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday morning to investigate a potential altercation between Manziel and his ex-girlfriend. No arrests were made.
