Hard candy may have been off the menu for Myles Garrett on Saturday, but the Texas A&M defensive lineman did feast on Nevada QB Tyler Stewart.
Garrett recorded 3.5 sacks and four tackles for loss during his team’s 44-27 win at Kyle Field, and did so just six days after having his wisdom teeth pulled out, according to Rivals.com’s Mark Passwaters. Garrett had been recovering all week and only resumed practicing on Friday.
“When it’s crunch time, and somebody has to take over, I have to do it,” Garrett said after the game, per Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle.
The performance brought Garrett’s season sack total to 5.5.

Great note from @tom_hart: Nevada simulated Myles Garrett's first step in practice by having DEs line up offside.
