This certainly was an interesting tweet.
Myles Garrett was ripped by the rock band Smash Mouth on Twitter after the former Texas A&M star made commented that Kevin Durant rode “somebody’s coattails” in winning back-to-back NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors.
Durant signed with the Warriors prior to the 2016-17 season, and he has now won two straight titles after Golden State again beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.
Apparently, Garrett, who plays defensive end for the Cleveland Browns, didn’t like that decision by Durant, as he made these comments during a radio interview.
Smash Mouth, which hasn’t released an album since 2012 but was extremely popular in the late 1990s-early 2000s, joined the conversation with an interesting tweet calling out Garrett:
Hey Myles Garrett,…..nobody knows who the F you are so nobody gives a F what you would do. And Genius the @warriors didn't win the Championship the season before KD signed. So not sure what "coattails" you're referring to. This your Twitter page Aaaaahole? @MylesLGarrett

It’s likely most people never would have thought that Smash Mouth, Garrett and Durant would all be tied together when the week started. But sure enough, that can happen in 2018 through social media.
