This is a nice move by Nick Saban to recognize new Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher.
On Monday, Fisher was introduced as the Aggies’ next coach. The arrival wasn’t overlooked by Alabama’s leader, who provided a classy statement about Fisher, as seen in the tweet by Texas A&M below. Well done, Saban.

Given that Saban and Fisher will face off each season in SEC West play, it’s cool of Saban to provide a statement about a division competitor. You don’t see that each day.
Of course, Fisher was Saban’s offensive coordinator at LSU from 2000-04. The two met early this season, when Alabama beat Florida State 24-7 in a hyped season opener on Sept. 2 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Fisher’s arrival to the SEC will be fun to follow on so many levels. The Saban-Fisher showdowns to come should be awesome.
