Report: Former Texas A&M WR Kirk Merritt transferring to ‘Last Chance U’
Former Texas A&M wide receiver Kirk Merritt seems to have found a new home. And it’s one college football fans should be familiar with.
According to Taylor Hamm of 247Sports, Merritt will transfer to East Mississippi Community College, more widely known as Last Chance U. For the last two seasons, East Mississippi Community College has been the focus of the Netflix show Last Chance U, which focuses on players who hope to use the school as a steppingstone into FBS programs.

Merritt was dismissed last month after he had been charged with two counts of indecent exposure. Two female tutors claimed that the wide receiver exposed his genitals and touched himself in their presence at the school’s football complex in October 2016. Merritt pleaded not guilty to both charges.
East Mississippi has put a number of players into the SEC and elsewhere, such as former Ole Miss QBs Chad Kelly and Bo Wallace and former Oregon RB LeGarrette Blount. Texas A&M opens its season on Sept. 3 at UCLA.
