Johnny Manziel’s problems with drugs are no secret, but a new wrinkle in his long list of antics came to light Thursday.
A new article in Vanity Fair reveals that he was using drugs as early as 2013 while he was in College Station. It details life inside the house that the former Aggies’ star shared with his friend Steven Brant.
According to people familiar with the details, marijuana was in regular use at the house, as was the prescription tranquilizer Xanax, a popular party drug often ground up, snorted, and chased with alcohol; MDMA, known as “Molly,” a form of Ecstasy; and, occasionally, cocaine.
When Manziel’s mother found drug paraphernalia in the house, she moved him out according to the report. The article also shows how his friends encouraged him to try to straighten his life out before the NFL Draft.Though he was taken by the Browns in the first round, the team later cut him due to his issues off the field that included a domestic violence allegation from his girlfriend
Manziel has been living with a friend in Los Angeles and has been taking online classes at Texas A&M with occasional visits to College Station according to the report.
