Johnny Manziel has made the news yet again. This time, it appears to be the fault of his lawyer.
According to the Associated Press, Manziel’s lawyer accidentally texted the AP saying Manziel was looking to reach a plea deal regarding the quarterback’s domestic violence incident with his ex-girlfriend, for which he is facing a misdemeanor assault charge.

The text message came via defense attorney Bob Hinton. In the text Hinton is quoted as saying, “Heaven help us if one of the conditions is to pee in a bottle.”
Hinton and the reporter first made contact following Manziel’s report of a hit-and-run incident earlier this week. Hinton also texted the reporter that a colleague showed him a receipt that Manziel spent over $1,000 at drug paraphernalia shop less than 24 hours after the crash, but Hinton did not know if the receipt was legitimate.
