The 4-star point guard was one of three players to sign with the Aggies in their 2016 class, along with power forwards Robert Williams (4-star) and Eric Villa (3-star).
Caldwell was an in-state recruit from Cypress Woods High School and chose the Aggies over Houston, Kansas State and Oklahoma, among others.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect was ranked as the nation’s No. 12 point guard and the state of Texas’ No. 8 overall recruit, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
