Texas A&M is adding another big brand opponent to its future non-conference schedule.
The Aggies are finishing a deal for a home-and-home series with Miami (FL) in 2022-2023, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.
“UM’s philosophy is to play one marquee non-conference game annually,” Jackson said, “and this Aggies deal gives Miami one on the schedule for the next seven years.”
The Aggies have a similar philosophy of trying to schedule a big-name opponent in non-conference play each season.
The Miami series is just the latest marquee home-and-home on the future schedule for the Aggies. They played the first game of a home-and-home with UCLA this season. They will play the Bruins again in 2017 in Los Angeles.
Texas A&M also has a home-and-home scheduled against Clemson for 2018-2019.
