A.J. Hilliard was not listed on Texas A&M’s active roster as spring practice opened up Monday. That’s because the linebacker is retiring.
Hilliard will hang ‘em up after an injury riddled career in College Station, Texas, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle’s Brent Zwerneman.
The linebacker transferred from TCU to Texas A&M after the 2012 season. He made his debut with the Aggies in 2014, but suffered a season-ending ankle injury in the season opener.
He played in nine games this season and recorded 58 tackles.
