Texas A&M reportedly will be without a key piece of its defense for the Belk Bowl.
On Thursday, the Houston Chronicle’s Brent Zwerneman reported that senior safety Armani Watts won’t play in the game against Wake Forest on Friday because of an undisclosed injury. The development means Watts’ career with Texas A&M has ended.

Watts has 87 tackles with 4 interceptions this season. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound player from Forney, Texas, has 324 tackles with 10 interceptions for his career.
Texas A&M enters the Belk Bowl with a 7-5 record. Wake Forest is 7-5 as well.
