Von Miller is set to add another honor to his illustrious career at Texas A&M.
According to a report from the Houston Chronicle’s Brent Zwerneman, Miller is one of six former Aggies athletes who will be inducted into the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
The Class of 2017 includes Miller, former linebacker Antonio Armstrong, track star Jessica Beard, basketball player Danielle Adams, diver Eric Sehn, and baseball player Jim Hacker.
Armstrong will be honored posthumously after he and his wife were killed in a shooting allegedly taken out by their son.
Miller, a native of DeSoto, Texas, played four seasons for the Aggies, totaling 33 sacks and 50.5 tackles for loss. In his senior season in 2010, he was a consensus All-American and won the Dick Butkus Award.
He was drafted second overall by the Denver Broncos and was the MVP of Super Bowl 50 after leading his team to a win over the Carolina Panthers and Cam Newton, who was drafted No. 1 ahead of Miller in 2011.
Miller and the other members of the class will be honored at a banquet on Sept. 15, the night before Texas A&M hosts Louisiana-Lafayette.
