Texas A&M has been fortunate to avoid some severe weather this week, as the Rice football field is dealing with major flooding.
The field at Rice Stadium was entirely underwater Wednesday morning after severe storms and flash floods consumed the city of Houston.

The Owls’ field wasn’t the only thing in the city affected by the flooding. The water has also covered numerous roads, making for dangerous driving conditions. The city will have to recover quickly. Super Bowl LI will be played at NRG Stadium on Feb. 5.
College Station has avoided any major flooding so far. KBTX reports more rain will move through the area Wednesday, with some “minor flooding” possible. However, the weather is not expected to cause as many problems as it did in Houston.
