Former Texas A&M defensive lineman Damontre Moore is back in the NFL.
The Seattle Seahawks, who are short-handed with Michael Bennett injured, replaced one former Aggies star with another, according to multiple reports.
Moore was a third-round pick by the New York Giants in 2013. There, he had 8.5 sacks in three seasons before being released last season after reportedly getting into a locker room altercation with Cullen Jenkins over a pair of headphones. He was picked up by the Miami Dolphins.
In the offseason, the Oakland Raiders picked him up but cut him in training camp.
In Seattle, Moore will be playing for one of the strongest defenses in the league on a team expected to contend for another Super Bowl appearance.
Moore played linebacker and defensive end in College Station.
Moore and Bennett will be joined in the Seattle locker room by even more former A&M players, including offensive guard Germain Ifedi, running back Christine Michael and free safety Steven Terrell.
