Texas A&M picked up a commitment from Devodrick Johnson for the second time on Sunday afternoon. Here’s to hoping this one sticks until signing day.
The four-star athlete made his announcement via video on Campus Insiders. He choose Texas A&M over Oklahoma State, Illinois, Mississippi State and Cal.

Johnson is listed as bout a dual-threat quarterback and outside linebacker in the 247Sports database. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, the Dallas, Texas native is the No. 21 outside linebacker in the country, No. 43 player in the state of Texas and the No. 320 overall prospect in the class of 2017.
Johnson originally committed to the Aggies in July, but rescinded that commitment in August shortly after an unofficial visit to Texas. According to 247Sports, Johnson was an unofficial visitor for the Aggies win against Tennessee last month.
Johnson is the 23rd member of Kevin Sumlin’s 2017 class, which ranks as the No. 5 class in the SEC and No. 11 class in the nation.
