Jimbo Fisher has been serious about introducing his vision at Texas A&M in his short time in College Station. But that doesn’t mean he’s without a humorous side as he continues work to make the Aggies an SEC and national contender.
On Wednesday, a clip surfaced from The Dallas Morning News’ Ben Baby of Fisher explaining his role for Texas A&M’s spring game on Saturday. Fisher said he’s not coaching either team. Instead, he’ll serve as a “commissioner” of sorts and that people can boo him like NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Of course, Fisher is referencing the boos Goodell receives at the NFL draft annually. You can see the “warm” reception the commissioner faced last year in Philadelphia below.
Chances are, Fisher won’t receive that kind of sour welcome to Kyle Field. In fact, Texas A&M fans likely will give him the opposite treatment, with the positive buzz for the Aggies’ new era obvious after the program moved past Kevin Sumlin.
