Texas A&M AD Scott Woodward said he has not been contacted about possibly rescheduling the Aggies’ Thanksgiving game against LSU.
Some have speculated that if LSU and Florida reschedule their postponed game for Nov. 19, the Aggies and Tigers could push back their Thanksgiving matchup by two days to the following Saturday. But Woodward said the SEC has not contacted him about that, The Eagle’s Travis Brown reports.
“I”m sure everything is on the table, but it’s too early for me to speculate because nothing has been proposed to us yet,” Woodward said.
Such a schedule shift would keep LSU from having to play the Aggies on a short week, something that would seem more palatable if the Tigers play South Alabama the preceding week, as scheduled.
LSU AD Joe Alleva has maintained, however, that the game against Florida will not be rescheduled, and that the Tigers intend to play their Nov. 19 home game as scheduled. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey has said that “the game needs to be played.”
“It’s all debatable,” Woodward said. “It’s uncertain.”
