Texas A&M assistants Jim Turner and Jeff Banks returned to practice for the first time since their suspension two weeks ago stemming from making presentations at a women’s football clinic hosted by Texas A&M that were deemed inappropriate by the school.

The two assistants who made sexually suggestive and sexist slides to show at the event apologized for their actions, calling their presentations a “failed attempt at humor.”
Banks’ presence at practice was confirmed by both the Bryan-College Station Eagle and KAGS.
“We clearly understand now that our comments and slides were not appropriate or consistent with the values of our football program or our Department,” Turner and Banks said in a joint statement when the suspensions were announced. “We must do better, and we will.”
Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin also expressed his displeasure with the comments.
“There is absolutely no place in our program or in our University community for inappropriate conduct or degrading comments towards women, or anyone, regardless of intent,” Sumlin said.
