The Texas A&M basketball team is beefing up its future nonconference schedule.
The Aggies announced on Monday that they will play a two-game series with Oregon State beginning in the 2018 season.

Exact dates and times for the games will be announced at a later date.
Texas A&M is coming off one of its best seasons since joining the SEC. The Aggies finished 22-13 and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Oregon State finished 16-16 last season.
Technically, the two games will not be a home-and-home series. The 2018 matchup will be played in the Moda Center in Portland, not on the Oregon State campus. The return trip in 2019 will be played at Reed Arena in College Station.
The Aggies will hope this aggressive scheduling and playing away from home will help them in the eyes of the NCAA Tournament selection committee, which always puts high value on road games and Power-5 nonconference wins.
