Texas A&M doesn’t start its season till next week, but that didn’t stop the Aggies from picking up a recruiting win over some SEC competition.
Jayden Peevy, a 3-star defensive tackle out Bellaire, Tex., announced his commitment to Texas A&M on Friday. Tennessee and Ole Miss, along with Houston and Iowa State, were finalists for Peevy.
Peevy is listed at 6-foot-6 and 279 pounds. He is the No. 53 defensive tackle in the country and the No. 97 player in the state of Texas. Peevy was orginally committed to Baylor, but he de-committed following Art Briles’ departure from the school. Peevy named Texas A&M and Tennessee in his top six in early July.
