Texas A&M has beaten out multiple in-state schools for a top Texas defensive back prospect.
Four-star Class of 2017 defender Myles Jones out of Magnolia West High School (Magnolia, Texas) has committed to the Aggies, he announced Friday.

The 6-foot-4 Jones chose Texas A&M over offers from schools such as Baylor, Houston, Oklahoma and Mississippi State, which was the only other SEC school to offer him. Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin reacted to the news on Twitter Friday morning.

Jones is ranked as the No. 30 cornerback in the country and 42nd-best player in Texas.
