Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher knows it’s going to take time, but after spring practice opened on Tuesday, he expressed how satisfied he is with his team at this point.
“They’ve got a good attitude, I thought they worked good,” Fisher said when speaking to the media. “They’re getting used to new schemes, just practice in general, everything’s different for them.”
It may be early in the year, and football season might be six months away, but Fisher also shared how pleased he is with the current physical shape of his players.
“We cranked them real hard, had a great offseason program. Kids had a great attitude with that and they worked real hard in the weight room,” Fisher said. “We had nobody cramp, nobody missed practice, we had nobody come out tired, and we had a lot of reps in practice, we go fast. So I was very pleased with that part.”
Fisher is entering his first season as the Aggies’ coach after eight seasons leading Florida State.
