Adjust your radios, because Texas A&M has a new broadcast partner starting this fall.
Aggies football and basketball games now will be aired on Gow Media’s KFNC (97.5 FM) and KGOW (1560 AM), according to the Houston Chronicle’s David Barron. The agreement between the university and Gow Media lasts until the 2021.
Texas A&M will switch from iHeartRadio’s Houston affiliates, including KBME (790 AM). KFNC spent the last five years airing Texas Longhorns games, according to Barron.
“They are both great programs, and we have enjoyed carrying the Longhorns,” Gow Media owner David Gow told Barron. “But, looking ahead, the passion of the Aggies and the opportunity to be part of their program is really compelling.”
All Aggies football and basketball games will be aired on 97.5 FM and 1560 AM will televise any games that don’t conflict with Rice football games, which also air on that station.
