If Trevor Knight can’t make Texas A&M fans forget about Johnny Manziel, maybe Kellen Mond will.
Mond, a 4-star dual-threat quarterback from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., announced his commitment to the Aggies on Monday night.
He is the Class of 2017’s No. 78 overall player and the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback, according to 247Sports.com. Last week, Mond told SEC Country that he was considering three schools: Texas A&M, Auburn and Baylor.
“Once my decision is in, I plan to shut my recruitment down and just really focus on that school,” he said.
Monday, he made the call on Twitter.
“This program in its tradition of excellence and led by Coach Sumlin and Coach Mazzone is the right program to help make my dreams a reality,” he wrote. Check out the full message below:
