College Station, Texas was “lit” Sunday night as the Aggies returned home following their miraculous 92-88 double overtime comeback win against Northern Iowa in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
The team was welcomed back to campus by a large group of rabid fans, who were clearly fired up after A&M earned its first Sweet 16 appearance since 2007. Loud cheers and chants of “SEC” could be heard on campus Sunday as the Aggies disembarked from their buses.

The fans have pretty good reason to be pumped up. The Aggies pulled off the greatest rally in NCAA history by erasing a 12-point deficit in the final 44 seconds of action to send the game into overtime.
Now, the Aggies will focus on their stiffest test yet: Oklahoma. The No. 2 seed Sooners are led by National Player of the Year candidate Buddy Hield, and are lethal from 3-point range. They have made 42.5 percent of their 3-point field goals, the second-best percentage in the country.
