Texas A&M has hired a new strength coach.
Florida State assistant strength coach Mark Hocke has been hired by Kevin Sumlin and Texas A&M, according to Billy Liucci.

Hocke is making his return to the SEC after one season at Florida State. He was previously at Georgia under Mark Richt during the 2015 season. Hocke was not retained by new coach Kirby Smart, who opted to hire Scott Sinclair to replace him.
Hocke spent the six seasons prior to that as an assistant strength coach on Alabama’s staff.
The change doesn’t come as a surprise, given that reports indicated that Sumlin was interested in making a change and the school had gone to the extent of posting the job opening on its human resources page.
Hocke replaces Larry Jackson, who followed Sumlin from Houston to Texas A&M in 2012.
