One of Texas A&M’s most talented offensive players will be skipping his senior season.
Offensive tackle Germain Ifedi announced Saturday morning that he would forgo his last year of college so that he could declare for the NFL Draft as a junior. Ifedi, a Houston native listed at 6-foot-6 and 335 pounds, is widely projected as a first or second-round draft pick. He joins Jake Matthews (Atlanta Falcons) and Cedric Ogbuehi (Cincinnati Bengals) as recent Aggies tackles to enter the pros as highly-regarded prospects.
For a Texas A&M offense that is already losing a pair of starting quarterbacks to transfers, Ifedi’s departure will especially hurt.
