Texas A&M picked up good news on the recruiting trail.
The Aggies secured a commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Colten Blanton on Saturday. The 6-foot-5, 271-pounder from Cypress, Texas, chose Texas A&M over Alabama, Michigan and many others.

Blanton’s commitment represents a coup for Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin. Blanton is the nation’s No. 16 offensive tackle and the No. 151 player overall for the class of 2018, as rated by 247Sports’ national composite rankings.
The Aggies entered a game Saturday night against Ole Miss at 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the SEC. After starting 6-0, Texas A&M has lost two of its past three games.
