Former Oregon wide receiver Kirk Merritt soon will be a student-athlete at Texas A&M.
Merritt announced the news via his Twitter account on Friday:

The former four-star recruit player was the No. 7 player out of the state of Louisiana in the 2015 signing class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Merritt saw action as a true freshman at Oregon last season, catching five passes for 61 yards and rushing the ball three times for 13 yards.
The Destrehan, La. native was also a high school track star, taking second in both the 100 and 200 at the Louisiana State Championships according to his Oregon bio.
