Texas A&M QB Trevor Knight earned two national player of the week honors for his explosive performance against Arkansas in Week 4.
Knight was named both the Davey O’Brien Award national player of the week and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award national player of the week for his play against the Razorbacks in a 45-24 win at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He was 12-of-22 passing for 225 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran the ball 10 times for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns.
Knight has led the Aggies to a 4-0 record and sole possession of first place in the SEC West.
The Davey O’Brien Award is given at the end of the season to the nation’s top quarterback. The Earl campbell Tyler Rose Award is awarded to the nation’s top offensive player at the end of the year.
