Texas A&M rises to No. 9 in the AP Poll
The voters have responded kindly to Texas A&M’s impressive 30-17 win over an also-ranked Mississippi State squad, as the Aggies (5-0, 2-0 SEC) jumped up to No. 9 when the Associated Press released its Top 25 poll Sunday.
The Aggies began the season unranked, but an eye-opening Week 1 victory against Arizona State quickly changed that. They have since hovered between No. 14 and No. 17 until the latest batch of ranking vaulted them into top-10 territory.
All of this sets up for a mammoth matchup between Texas A&M and Alabama on Oct. 17, when the Crimson Tide travel to Kyle Field after steamrolling the Aggies 59-0 at home last season.
