Texas A&M slips to No. 3 in SEC Country Power Rankings
Inactivity from the bye week in Week 6 seemed to have cost Texas A&M their spot in the Official SEC Country Power Poll.
The Aggies (5-0, 2-0 SEC) enter Week 7 trailing Florida by four points in the latest round of voting to slide from second place last week to third place with 186 points. Florida’s 21-3 victory over Missouri impressed the voters enough to help the Gators make the jump from fourth place last week to second place this week.
Texas A&M will play host to the fourth-ranked Crimson Tide at Kyle Field on Oct. 17 – a matchup that should not only shake up the power polls but also the chances for either team to contend for an SEC title. The Crimson Tide, despite beating Arkansas 27-14, also fell victim to the Gators surge in the rankings, moving from third last week to now fourth.
