Texas A&M stays put at No. 9 in new AP Top 25
Texas A&M had the week off, and the Aggies remained at No. 9 when the Associated Press released its Top 25 poll Sunday.
The Aggies’ (5-0, 2-0 SEC) steady climb in the AP Top 25 took a brief halt after none of the top eight teams lost Saturday. After starting the season unranked, the Aggies jumped to No. 9 entering Week 6 after impressive wins over then-ranked opponents Arizona State and Mississippi State.
Florida jumped up to No. 8, one spot ahead of the Aggies, while Alabama slipped from No. 8 to No. 10 after defeating Arkansas 27-14.
Texas A&M will play host to the Crimson Tide on Oct. 17 in a matchup of two top-10 teams at Kyle Field. The Aggies will look to avenge a 59-0 blowout loss that they sustained last season in Tuscaloosa.
