The Texas A&M Aggies will open their football season on a Sunday this year.
Texas A&M’s 2017 season opener at UCLA has been pushed back one day to Sunday, Sept. 3, according to a press release from the school. The game will kick off at either 7:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. ET. The television network has not been determined.
The game will be the second matchup in a home-and-home. The Aggies beat UCLA at home 31-24 in overtime to open the 2016 season.
Sunday games in Week 1 appear to be becoming the norm. In-state rival Texas opened its season on a Sunday last year, beating Notre Dame 50-47 in double overtime.
