Only a select group of high-school talents ever reach the rank of 5-star recruit, but even fewer have lived up to the corresponding expectations as quickly and clearly as Texas A&M receiver Christian Kirk.
In four college starts, Kirk has already broken the century-mark for receiving yards three times, hauling in 24 catches for 442 yards and five total touchdowns (one a punt-return score against Arizona State). If that weren’t already impressive enough, the freshman also made a critical touchdown catch in overtime that helped propel the Aggies to a 28-21 overtime victory against Arkansas Saturday night. Kirk finished with eight catches for 173 yards in the win.
You can see that play in all its glory below.
Suffice it to say, Kirk already looks like one of the most dynamic talents to grace the SEC since Julio Jones and A.J. Green were burning cornerbacks in 2010.
