Texas DB retweets Texas A&M transfer plea at halftime
It has been a rough start to the 2015 season for the Texas Longhorns, something that has certainly brought a mischievous smile or two to the faces of Texas A&M fans.
This Saturday might be a new low on multiple fronts. On the field, the Longhorns are getting embarrassed by in-state rival TCU. That misery extended to social media.
Texas freshman defensive back Kris Boyd retweeted a tweet from a Texas A&M fan suggesting that he transfer to play for the Aggies. He may have hit the retweet button during halftime.
“Whenever ya’ll are ready to transfer … We’re ready. #Gig’em @Official_MalikJ @kris23db,” Danny Duron (@dannyboy_9161) tweeted.
Burnt Orange Nation, the SB Nation site that covers Texas, said the retweet happened at halftime, and the first three replies to the tweet say it did as well.
The other player mentioned is Texas freshman linebacker Malik Jefferson. Both players were heavily recruited by both Texas A&M and Texas before they chose the Longhorns.
