Texas A&M added a quarterback to its 2018 class in JUCO dual-threat QB Shane Johnson.

Johnson joins the Aggies as a preferred walk-on, but he’s got some serious skills.
But don’t take our word for it. Here’s his highlight video from this season at Snow College, where he made some incredible plays on the ground and through the air.
He’s listed at 6-foot-1 and is the No. 10 dual-threat QB in this JUCO class, according to 247Sports composite rankings. Johnson wasn’t highly recruited (his previous commitment was to Kent State), but he’s still a very good player for the Aggies to get for a preferred walk-on slot.
Johnson is Texas A&M’s only quarterback commit with a few weeks to go until signing day. Texas A&M’s class is ranked No. 32 in the country and No. 10 in the SEC. But new coach Jimbo Fisher and his freshly hired coaching staff could close strong before National Signing Day on Feb. 7.
At quarterback, the Aggies will be set for a while. They’re expected to return Kellen Mond and Nick Starkel as sophomores in 2018.
