The 6-foot, 193-pound receiver from Stafford, Texas, is rated the 18th best wide receiver in the country and the 20th best overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
“I just felt like it was the best fit for me,” Jones told Taylor Hamm of 247Sports. “With what they have going on there, I feel like there’s something special brewing, especially with Coach (Noel) Mazzone there. He’s a great coach and his offense is immaculate. It’s so close to home and I’m playing SEC ball. You can’t beat it.”
Jones previously committed to Baylor before the scandals there caused him to de-commit. He is Texas A&M’s 19th commitment for the Class of 2017.
